About the Role

Our Commercial Buyer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the timely delivery of products by working closely with our commercial teams and key vendors. In this role, you will join our Merchandising team to support product procurement for commercial projects, ensuring that all processes and dates are executed accurately and on schedule.

This is a fixed-term role covering maternity leave, expected to last approximately 11 months, with potential for extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor Procurement: Manage a portfolio of vendors to meet commercial project requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Scrutinize sales forecasts to maintain a healthy inventory turn rate.
  • Order Management: Create, track, and expedite orders to meet forecasted needs and scheduled project deadlines.
  • Find Solutions: Support the project teams in solution finding when product is delayed or not available when needed.
  • Invoice Reconciliation: Collaborate with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve any invoice discrepancies.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, project groups, and vendors.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the Commercial Teams, Projects Teams, and Logistics, to ensure smooth inventory management and execution.

The successful candidate will demonstrate

  • At least 3-5 years in supply chain, procurement, or inventory management.
  • Industry experience is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a knack for solving problems using data.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of ePASS experience an asset.
