Sensor Induction Technology
Generates heat directly within cookware, reaching high temperatures quickly and cooling down rapidly for precise control that enables a full range of cooking techniques.
Auto Presets for Melt, Simmer, Keep Warm and Boil
Automatically set the right heat for different techniques and stages of cooking, taking the guesswork out of choosing settings.
Assisted Cooking Modes for Boil, Fry and Grill
Help you take on high-heat techniques with confidence. Sensor monitoring automatically sets the ideal heat, alerts you when to add ingredients and maintains constant temperature while food cooks. Requires the use of specialty KitchenAid® pans (sold separately).
Power Boost Function
Sets the highest heat for rapid boiling, bringing three quarts of water to a boil on average nearly twice as fast as our gas cooktop.* After five minutes, the heat automatically adjusts to keep water at a rolling boil. *3000W induction element set to Power Boost compared to KitchenAid® 10,000 BTU gas burner.
Touch-Activated Controls
For assisted cooking modes, auto presets and numerical power settings are simple to use. The seamless design is also easy to clean.
Pan Size Detection
Recognizes the size and placement of cookware to generate heat directly within the pan. An indicator light and sound will alert you if you turn the cooktop on without a pan on the selected element or if your pan is not compatible with induction cooking.
Frameless Design
Allows flush installation for a seamless look or standard installation to fit an existing cooktop cutout.
Control Lock
Helps prevent unintended use and makes it easier to clean the control panel.

At Coast we offer complete coordination with Professional Appliance Installers who have been trained and certified to ensure your new appliance is installed correctly. Installation is arguably the most important step to the process as there are several details that an untrained installer can overlook. In fact, some of our manufacturers go as far as to add an extra year of warranty to their products if you have them installed by one of their certified installers! We want to make sure you have years of trouble-free service, so we highly recommend coordinating with one of recommended third party installation firms.
A recommended Professional Installer can complete several types of installations, including:
- Dishwashers
- Washer & Dryer
- Built-In Cook tops and Wall Ovens
- Gas and Dual Fuel Ranges
- Built-In Refrigerators
- Water Lines for Refrigerators
- Ventilation
- Outdoor Grills
- Microwaves and Trim Kits
Some of the installations firms we recommend offer complete delivery service, removal of the old appliances and complimentary onsite consultations to make sure the models chosen will work with the space available. A few of them even offer cabinet and counter modifications (some limitations apply) allowing for an easy transition between your old and new appliance. Let Coast help you with this final step by coordinating with one of their recommended installers.
